Small Children in Worship
Many parents bring their infants and toddlers to services, and they are always welcome at any of St. Peter's services of worship. Small children's ordinary noises are not a distraction to the liturgy, but rather the music of small angels. As Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs."
St Peter's does provide a nursery for infants and toddlers during most worship service throughout the year. Donna Waite, our professional nursery caregiver, is on duty every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. We usually have a few children in the nursery during each service, so your little one will be welcome and have company.
The nursery is located below the main church, in the Church School area. Please ask an Usher or Greeter for directions; he or she will be delighted to help you find the way there.
Older children, those in Grades PreK-8, can come to the 9 o'clock worship service with their parents, then move to the Undercroft (the space directly below the sanctuary) for Church School from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. You can register them using the form on the Church School page of our website; if you have any questions, please call The Reverend C. Melissa Hall, Assistant Rector and Church School Director, at 973-538-0555 x-25 or email her at mhall@stpetersmorristown.org.
