May God give you joy as you join your lives together! We are delighted to have the opportunity to share with you in the most important moments of your lives - your lifelong public commitment to each other in Holy Matrimony. It will be our privilege to guide and counsel you in the planning and preparation of the marriage service as well as to offer the church's continuing prayer and support for your relationship.
If you would like to pursue marriage at St. Peter's, please call Dee Klikier at 973-538-0555, x10 to schedule an appointment with one of the clergy on staff. This appointment allows us to get to know you and for you to know us. It also helps us gather information about the proposed marriage, answer immediate questions or concerns, discuss wedding procedures at St. Peter's and set a marriage date on the church calendar.
Please note that marriages are not usually celebrated on Sundays, in Lent or Holy Week, or on the weekends before and after Christmas. The marriage service in the Book of Common Prayer is the order of worship used in the church at weddings.
After making your appointment, please fill out the Wedding Information Form (a PDF file) and bring the completed form to the appointment (or forward it to St. Peter's afterwards). The information on the document is very important for the clergy, and will be used to complete the marriage license as well, so please be accurate.
A completed Wedding Planning Form (also a PDF) will reserve your wedding date; please fill it out and return it when sending your deposit.
If mailing the forms, please send them to the attention of:

Ideally, we like to have at least three months' notice before the proposed wedding date in order to properly prepare for the marriage. However, we are flexible in cases of pastoral emergencies and other special circumstances. We also hope that if you live in the area, you will consider St. Peter's as your church home by attending Sunday worship and getting to know the parish, and allowing us to know you better as well. You might also consider being baptized, if you have not already been so. We would be happy to share with you more about the Christian faith and the Episcopal Church at your convenience.
We at St. Peter's look forward to sharing in the joy of your marriage. Again, thank you for considering St. Peter's. We are glad to have you here!
