churchAbout Stewardship

At St. Peter's, we seek to become instruments by which God's grace is recognized and to help develop an understanding of our responsibilities in returning these gifts of God's community. Stewardship is our thanksgiving for the gifts we have received from God and from one another. It is our support for the parish programs that nurture our parish family. It is the loving maintenance of our remarkable buildings and grounds. And stewardship is what makes possible our reaching-out beyond ourselves in the service of others.

We are blessed to have a diverse and multi-talented staff and congregation, a beautiful and historic campus, and an endowment. Yet we know that our resources are not unlimited. We conduct an annual appeal to fund our many ministries, and we teach the religious principle of proportionate giving. We are committed to making the best use of our human and material blessings. As we make decisions for the present, we strive to remain faithful to our heritage and protective of the future through planned gifts and bequests.
