[Morristown Green] In a Father’s Day outing that could have been dubbed the Cicada Run, members of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church and the wider community participated in a walk and “fun run” at Lewis Morris Park on June 16 to raise funds for the church’s youth group summer mission trip to Topsail, N.C. A portion of the funds also will benefit Abdulai’s Project, which builds homes in remote areas of Sierra Leone.
New Jersey Together Against Gun Violence has helped launch a national effort by religious leaders to meet with Executive Branch officials at all levels of government to explore ways of reducing gun violence in America. We have identified a number of steps that mayors, police chiefs, sheriffs, governors, attorneys generals and federal agency heads can take to help keep guns out of the wrong hands.
Members of a West Delhi Leper colony stand outside their chapel, which was started by the Delhi Brotherhood Society, an Anglican monastic community where I stayed for a week.
