Early Music Schola
This is one of two new choral groups founded in the Spring of 2007 designed to require a smaller time commitment than St. Peter's other choirs. The choir rehearses twice a month and members are expected to attend at least one rehearsal a month; the choir performs an average of once a month.
Its purpose is to attract singers who are interested in exploring Gregorian chant and music from the Medieval and Renaissance periods. New members are always welcome.
In the past two years, the Early Music Schola has sung the Great "O" Antiphons at Advent Evensong; the Solemn Te Deum during Christmastide; the chanted portion of the Easter Vigil; the Sequence hymns for Pentecost and Corpus Christi; medieval carols; and works by Orlando di Lasso, Heinrich Schütz, and Richard Dering, among other pieces.

Folio 22r of the Ranworth Antiphoner contains a portion of the Mass of the Nativity. The decorated initial contains a Nativity scene.
