The Choirs
2010 Summer Choir Camps
St. Peter's will offer three music camps in the summer of 2010; click the links below for flyers about each camp in PDF form. For those whose children are not already planning to attend, consider one or more of these camps! And please forward this information to any other parents whose boys and girls might be interested. It really is a lot more fun if kids bring friends with them and word of mouth is the best recommendation!
The three camps are:
Exploring Music (Day Camp): August 9-13 Monday-Friday 9am-1pm. Open to boys and girls entering grades 2-6. Free!
Girls' Choir Camp (Overnight Camp): August 22-27th Sunday afternoon- Friday afternoon. Open to girls entering grades 3-8.
Boys' Choir Camp (Day Camp): August 30- September 2 Monday-Thursday 9am-3pm. Open to boys entering grades 3-8.
Contact Barbara Snyder (bsnyder@stpetersmorristown.org or 973-538-0555, x12) for Girls' Camp medical forms and an accompanying letter.
About the Choirs

St. Peter's choirs are affiliated with the Royal School of Church Music in America. All choirs sing in rotation on Sunday mornings and for First Sunday of the month Choral Evensong. Periodically, the choirs combine for special events and services.
The boys' and girls' choirs are open to children of any religious background from grades three through eight and new choristers are always welcome; we also offer a new Children's Training Choir for younger kids. The children will receive a comprehensive musical education and will also develop leadership and teamwork skills. The boy and girl chorister program is one of the great strengths of St. Peter's. Children not only learn how to sing and read music, but also develop skills within a supportive environment that will serve them well in school and in life. Please contact Brian Harlow at 973-538-0555, ext. 18 or bharlow@stpetersmorristown.org if you are interested in joining one of the choirs.
St. Peter's adult choirs (the Choir of Men & Women, The St. Peter's Singers, and The Early Music Schola) are also open to members of all religious backgrounds. These programs are offered not only to the parish but also to the greater metropolitan area, in the belief that music is one of the ways we can effectively bring the Gospel to those outside our immediate parish family.
