St. Peter's Church Acolyte Guild

The Acolyte Guild serves the Church by preparing for, assisting in, and leading the celebration of the public worship of the church on Sundays, Holy Days, and other observances and by helping the congregation attain a greater sense of reverence and presence of the Holy Spirit through the beauty of liturgy. Members of the Acolyte Guild serve as readers, intercessors, torchbearers, crucifers, thurifers, and ministers of ceremonies, among other roles. All who feel called to this important ministry and are able to make a significant commitment of time and talent are invited to join.

The Guild is overseen by the Acolyte Warden, a position appointed by the Rector, who is responsible for staffing and direction for all liturgical services at St. Peter’s Church.
