The Church School director organizes Family Retreats for the children and their parents in Lent and Advent.  These are one-morning affairs held at St. Peter's.  One year's Lenten Family Retreat focused on several lessons from the Great Vigil, and the children then creatively participated in one of the lessons during the Vigil itself.

St. Peter's organizes a Men's Retreat for a weekend in the early fall of each year.  The retreat is held at the Holy Cross Monastery, located on the bank of the Hudson River near New Paltz, New York.  The group looks greatly forward to this weekend of spiritual renewal in the serene atmosphere of the monastery and the surrounding countryside. 

We have also organized women's retreats and sometimes co-ed retreats at St. Helena's Convent in Vailsburg, New York (now closed).  And the nearby Community of St. John Baptist organizes one-day (or weekend) retreats and workshops which St. Peter's members often attend.
