EFM

Every baptized person is called to ministryThe Education for Ministry (EfM) program provides people with the education to carry out that ministry.  During the Service of Confirmation we ask God to "Renew in these your servants the covenant you made with them at Baptism. Send them forth in the power of the Spirit to perform the service you set before them." EfM offers an opportunity to discover how to respond to the call to Christian service.

The program is a four-year curriculum; each "year" is a nine-month cycle of study. Students enroll for one cycle at a time.  Years 1 and 2 concentrate on study of the Old and New Testaments of the Bible; Years 3 and 4 on Church History and Theology.

St. Peter's has offered an EFM class on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. for the past several years; 2010-2011 will be a hiatus year.  If you think you might be interested in joining the class at a future time, call John DeLosh at 212-576-9835, or call the Parish Office (973-538-0555, x12).  Scholarships are available.

EFM is also on Facebook; read student testimonials there, and get other information.
