Summer 2011
A reminder that Youth Group will meet throughout the summer again this year, on Sundays from 5:30pm-7:00pm. We'll begin meeting on July 17th for both Senior High and Junior High.
I hope that you will join me and spend a little time together. We may plan a picnic again at the Lake or have another Lock-in. This will be a good time for us to prepare a movie for the Annual Morristown Movie Festival.
The Youth Group Mission Trip: July 2011
We're going to the Red Lake Reservation in Minnesota on our Mission Trip this year.
A Little Information: The Chippewa or Anishinabe people are found in north central Minnesota. The flag pictured here represents Upper and Lower Red Lake, surrounded by the waterways that connect them. The lakes appear above a grove of pine trees of Northern Minnesota. Across the top of the ring appear seven totem animals of the Ojibwe people and reflect the wildlife of the area. From left to right; Bear, Turtle, Bullhead (fish), Otter, Eagle, Marten (weasel) and the Kingfisher (bird). Each animal represents various clans of the Ojibwe people.
